Journaling: God made the world out of His dreams
Of magic mountains, oceans and streams,
Prairies and plans and wooded land,
Then paused and thought “I need someone to stand
On top of mountains, to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and to grow,
Sturdy, strong as a tree…” And so,
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When He had completed the task He’d begun
He surely said “A job well done”.

Summer is here!

Summer is finally here, and its about time. I did not think winter was ever going to end! Summer is my favorite time of year, so much to do and so much going on. This Layout is summer fun. Logan is the son of our dear friends. He is having so much fun in his new pool. I wish I had a pool to splash in when its hot. Doing layouts of summer fun takes me back to my childhood days, ahhh worry free!! To be young again.........

Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it. ~Russel Baker

Heat, ma'am! it was so dreadful here, that I found there was nothing left for it but to take off my flesh and sit in my bones. ~Sydney Smith, Lady Holland's Memoir

Summer afternoon - summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. ~Henry James

Feeling my age.....

Yesterday was my son's 13th birthday! Oh my what a day we had. We had a small little party at home, BBQ and games. The whole family was there, we had alot of fun. I can't believe Jared it 13 already! Now I really feel my age. He got quite abit of stuff for his birthday, telescope, an air soft pistol(bebe gun...not my favorite!!). He also got that PS2 game Guitar Hero and man what a blast!! I had so much fun playing that, I was doing so well I think I could pick up a real guitar and whip out a rock tune for ya!! NOT!!! My daughter got Dance Dance Revolution a couple of weeks ago for her birthday and that is fun to play, but man what a workout!

Layout to share. This is my LO that I made to apply for metalmamadezines CT. I had alot of fun doing this one. I just love Metalmama designs, so funky and fresh!

The Scrap Gypsies

Have you all heard the Scrap Gypsies have a new home. http://www.scrapgypsies.com/
Scrap Gypsies is about breaching the barrier between paper, hybrid, and digital scrapping and crafting. This community is so friendly, warm and welcoming. About a month ago I applied for the Scrap Gypsies CT call. I have never been on a CT and was really nervous about appling. I have confidence in my digi ablity, but when I take a look at others and their work mine almost seems simple and plain. There are some really talented digi scrapper out there. I knew this being my first call that I really had no chance what so ever.........but I got the email saying I was choosen for a spot on the stand by team. I couldn't believe it, thanks Dianne. Now all I have to do is wait for someone on the CT to decide to drop off. Oh and I will be there with bells on...

So stop by and check out the Scrap Gypsies!

On to other news. I need a banner really bad. I have been working on one for about 2 weeks now and I am still at square one!! I never thought making a banner would be so hard, but once again I have been proven wrong. I just can not come up with some I really like. Something that really reflects my personality. Oh well, hopefully soon I will get it together

I am off to bed now, been so tired lately. I finished a layout tonite I will upload it tomorrow. Nightie, night all.

Its good to be back!

After 2 1/2 weeks I am finally back online and it feels good. I never realize how much I do on the net. My computer took a turn for the worst. I knew it was going, but hoping it would last one more year. I got myself a brand spanking new computer. Its a HP with a 17 inch flat screen monitor. I am so impressed with the color on the flat screens that it makes me smile every time I look at my monitor. Now I have a tower with 1GB and I am so stoked, so now I am ready to load it with all my digi files...lol. James, my husband got himself a new laptop (Dell) this is what I am on now. I am not really all impressed with the laptops. They seem to be alittle more work and alot less memory space. I think I will stick with my desktop, but I do like the fact that I am sitting in my living room and not isolated in my office.

Have a great day!! I have done some more sketches and will post them later tonite.

No more snow!!!

Well it is Easter and 2 days ago we got dumped on pretty bad with snow! We got a total of 4 inches here in Michigan. I planned on getting the kids new bikes for Easter and now they can't ride them....so sad.

I am looking for a new program for my digital scrapping. I had the 60 day free trial of DIS and I loved it. I have heard awesome things about Adobe elements and PSP, but those are alittle out of my price range at the moment. I don't know what to do, right now I am stuck with my old program (Photo Explosion) I like it, but it is pretty basic. Decisions, decisions, whats a digi scrapper suppose to do?

Here is a LO I did in honor of our snowy Easter here in Michigan.

Some of my personal favorites

I am what you call a Bi-Scrapper....I swing both ways I love to scrap with paper and I also do digital scrapping. I have been paper scrapping for about a year(still green) and I have been digital scrapping for about 7 or 8 months now. When I first started to digital scrap I was using a program called Scrapbook Factory. I started off very basic, I mean background and photos. Yup that was me, but as I progressed further into the digital world of scrapping I noticed how creative and fun it could be. I started to change my style of digital into more of a reflection of my personality so no more digi LOs with just a background and a photo. Now I embellish until I can't embellish no more. Is there even such a thing as over embellish? Blah, Blah, Blah.......

Ok getting back to the main reason for posting. I want to show you some of my favorite digital layouts that I have completed in the past month or so. I am going to post the layouts and at the bottom I will post all credits. This first layout is my most recent one, completed last night and my #1 favorite.

A New Year!!

Well it is a new year, wow where did 2006 go?? I have started on my BOM and let me tell you it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I really don't like scrapping myself. I really don't like the self picture thing either...lol.

I came home last week and all over the driveway there was anti-freeze. I blew my water pump in my truck, not a good thing. Just waiting to get that fixed, man I hate being without transportation, its the worst!!

I have a myspace page and I was searching for people that went to my high school and I came in contact with 4 people that I have not talked to in over 15 years or so, isn't that just awesome. Man it is amazing what you can do on the net.

My first Coluzzle....

I just bought my first Coluzzle and I love it. I got the circle templet. I was looking for a good, inexpensive circle cutter and I think I found it. Its so easy to use and it doesn't take up much room in my scrap room! Off to do some happy scrappy layouts!! Oh I can't wait!!!

I finally accomplished something!!

I really have been quite lazy the last couple of days. I need to get off my rump and do something. I have 4 online swaps I have to get postal. I should start doing some scrap pages, I just have not been in the mood. Oh my, not in the mood for scrapping. I don't know whats happening. I know its the weather, it is suppose to snow today, not look forward to that at all. I really don't like the winter, its depressing.

I did sitting in front of the computer last night and made my first attempt at a self made digi kit. I am quite proud of myself for accomplishing that. What do you think? I know it is simple, but hey its my first. It took me forever to do. The Paper took about 4 hours ( I swear), but that was my favorite part. I still need some practice at kit making. It was alot of fun.
